The allure of the "Short-Sale" has drawn many who would have preferred to build their perfect home to compromise simply for the prospect of a bargain. Another approach to the "Best-Deal" bargain may be to find a "Lot Short-Sale" and then build. A McNair client recently purchased a premier golf course home-site which was originally bought at $350,000 and was now purchased for $50,000. These opportunities abound as many people bought land as an investment and now must sell. There is no investor owner emotionally tied to their lot sales, they just want out. The cost of construction has declined and the area's best subcontractors are now available at reduced rates. The result is that you get the dream home you always wanted at a price comparable to many short sale homes without all the negative issues that abound in the short sale process. It is worth making the comparison between a bargain lot with new home construction and a short sale? We can work with you and your Realtor to find the quality bargain lots to make this work. New homes are up to the latest building codes which result in a safer home, insurance savings and they come with full warranties and without compromise. Something to Consider? YES! |
